Beginner's Woodcarving

Join SIR Kandace to transform a block of basswood into a whimsical gnome. You’ll learn basic carving techniques, practice safe tool handling, and add your own creative finishing touches. This program will introduce you to a fun craft and build confidence in using carving tools.
This program is recommended for adults ages 18 and up who are interested in learning beginner woodcarving skills and includes guided instruction, carving practice, and (optional) painting, if time allows. This program will last around 3 hours, and each participant will leave with a completed figurine.
All materials will be provided by the park, you must register to ensure we have enough supplies.
