    Summer Adventures

    The Junior Ranger Program offers children, ages eight to 12, a fresh look at the world around them! Inspiring a love of nature and the outdoors, camps open the door to a lifetime of fun and adventure.

    These summer sessions provide hands-on opportunities for exploring and learning about the natural world through an array of fun and creative activities. Sessions are led by our dedicated and professional rangers, seasonal interpretive recreators, and naturalists.

    How to Become a Junior Ranger

      Attend a Tennessee State Parks Junior Ranger Camp

      For those attending a Junior Ranger Camp, registration is required. Details about a specific camp can be found on the individual park's event web page or by calling that park.

      For those unable to attend a camp, the Junior Ranger Adventure Guide is a self-paced, free alternative. Download it below!

      Take the Junior Ranger Pledge

      Upon completion of the program, kids take the Junior Ranger pledge, receive a badge, and are sworn in as official Tennessee State Park Junior Rangers!

    All Tennessee State Parks offer Junior Ranger camps and activities, so no matter which park you visit, you can join the adventure!
