Tennessee Resident Discount
Tennessee State Parks offers a 10% Tennessee Resident Discount to make spending the night in the outdoors even more affordable.
Residents can take advantage of the 10% discount by phone or online at reserve.tnstateparks.com.
Discount details:
- Tennessee Resident Discount will provide a 10% discount off the normal rate at most Tennessee State Park overnight accommodations.
- All Tennessee residents 18 and older with a valid state-issued photo ID will qualify.
- A Tennessee resident must occupy the campsite, cabin, or lodge room in order to qualify.
- Guests must provide a current, valid state-issued photo ID that includes a valid Tennessee residence at time of check-in for the discount to apply. Staff will not accept photocopies of the ID as proof of residency.
- Discount is available by phone, in person, or online at reserve.tnstateparks.com.
- The discount will not apply to premium campsites. Some cabin exclusions may apply.
- Tennessee Resident Discount cannot be combined with other existing discounts, such as Active Military, 100% Disabled Veteran, Senior, Disabled or Tennessee State Employee discounts.
- This discount only applies to campsites, cabins, and lodge rooms. This discount does not apply to group facilities, boat rentals, permits, etc.
- Discounts will not apply to reservations made prior to July 1, 2020.
ADA Discount
Year-round camping discounts are available to residents and non-residents of Tennessee who are disabled.
During in-season, disabled campers will receive a discount of approximately 25% off base rates; during off-season, the disability discount will be approximately 50% off base rates. The ADA disability discounts are available upon showing satisfactory proof of eligibility. Rates subject to change without notice. Premium campsites are not discounted.
Seniors
Seniors age 62 and older may receive a 10% discount on their stay at a state park lodge, a 10% discount on their restaurant meal, and a 25% discount on all standard camping fees during in-season and a 50% discount on all standard camping fees during off-season.
Senior discounts are not available on premium sites. Discounts are not allowed at snack shops, concession stands, or at leased dining facilities unless approved by Lessee. Tennessee State Park senior discounts are available upon presentation of satisfactory proof of eligibility. Rates subject to change without notice.
Discounts at Tennessee Golf Trail courses vary from park to park. Please check with the golf shop at each park for the current senior discounts. Bear Trace Golf Courses are excluded.
Special Promotions
Special discounts and coupons are offered on camping, lodging, and restaurant promotions.

Active Military
Tennessee residents serving in Active Duty Military or the Tennessee National Guard are eligible for discounts at state-operated parks with lodges, cabins, gift shops, and campground facilities. See more details in the State Employees section below.
To qualify for the discount, guests must provide documentation of active military service through either a Tennessee National Guard ID indicating full-time, part-time, or retired member, or a valid Military ID card or leave papers.
State Employees and Veterans
Discounts apply to all parks having state-operated lodges, cabins, golf courses, gift shops, and/or campground facilities.
Who is eligible, and how do I receive the discount*?
- Tennessee State Employees – valid state employee ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Human Resources or state ID card
- State of Tennessee University and State Community and Technical College Employees – valid employee ID card issued from the individual's employing institution
- Tennessee Public School Teachers – valid state professional license card and proof of employment as a teacher at a Tennessee public school
- Tennessee National Guard – valid Tennessee National Guard ID indicating full-time, part-time, or retired member
- Retired Full-Time Tennessee State Employees* – valid Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS) ID card
- Current Members of the Tennessee General Assembly – valid Tennessee General Assembly ID card
- Active Duty Military – valid ID card or leave papers
- Tennessee Resident Veterans – valid proof of Tennessee residency, veteran status, and/or percentage of service-connected disability must be secured.
Premium campsites, rooms, and cabins will not be discounted.
Veterans-Specific Discounts
VETERANS DAY
On Veterans Day each year, Tennessee resident veterans receive complimentary 18-hole green fees. All other fees still apply. They also receive one free night of camping. Premium campsites excluded.
SERVICE BRANCH ANNIVERSARIES
Tennessee veterans receive a free night of camping and waived green fees on service branch anniversaries, leading up to the nation’s 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026. Please see the following dates and eligibility criteria on our Veterans page.
VETERANS WITH SERVICE-CONNECTED DISABILITY
Tennessee resident veterans with 100% service-connected disability receive a 50% year-round discount on cabin rentals and campsites.
Veteran Eligibility: Proof of Tennessee residency, veteran status, and/or percentage of service-connected disability must be secured with documentation:
- Tennessee residency: Tennessee driver's license, voter registration, or other valid identification with address.
- Veteran status: Certificate of Discharge (DD214), Veterans Benefits Administration benefit card, retired military card, or similar identification.
- 100% Service-Connected Disability: Certification from the Department of Veterans Affairs indicating the veteran’s percentage of service-connected disability.
Discounts are available to Tennessee resident veterans only, not family members, friends, etc., and are intended for personal use only and not for resale. Proof of eligibility must be presented for each qualifying stay or purchase.

Gift Shops
Full-time employees, regular part-time employees, and Tennessee resident veterans receive a 15% discount off the retail price at gift shops & golf shops.
Exception: Discount does not apply to items that have been marked down, golf clubs, golf balls, golf gloves, or items less than $5.00. Discount does not apply at the online gift shop.
Golf Green Fees & Cart Rentals Traditional Golf Courses & Bear Trace Golf Courses
State employees, retired state employees, and Tennessee resident veterans receive a 20% discount on green fees and cart rentals year-round.
Discounts cannot be combined with other discounted or promotional rates.

The rate is the same whether riding or walking. State employees and retired state employees must show a State ID or TCRS ID card. Veterans must show valid proof of Tennessee residency and veteran status at check-in. Anyone riding with a State Park Employee or volunteer golf course host, who is not also a state employee or volunteer host, will be required to pay the standard green fee & cart rate in effect at the course they are playing.
