Event Details

Join us on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 3:30 pm at Burgess Falls State Park to camp! We will camp out under the stars where we can hear the falls from our campsites, take a night hike to Burgess Falls, and have archery for folks to shoot!

We will meet in the lower parking lot at 3:30 pm. Please carpool to the park as we only have one parking lot due to construction. As a group, we will walk to where we will camp, which will be a .25 mile walk on the gravel road. You can bring carts to haul gear, but nobody will be allowed to drive on the road. Once we arrive at the campsites, we will set up tents. Tent camping will be the only method allowed.

There will be archery targets set up for people to learn to shoot from our SIR, Taylor, as the group finishes setting up camp. At 5:30 pm, we will have a fire program and begin roasting hot dogs. Hot dogs, buns, condiments, utensils, and smores will be provided. You can bring your own food if you would like. Water will be provided at the site.

At 6:30 pm, we will begin our night hike to Burgess Falls. You should bring your own head lamp, but the park will have some to lend campers for this hike. After the night hike, we will return to the campfire for smores.

** Things to note **

No alcohol

This is a special event hosted by the park and there is normally no camping at Burgess Falls

You will not be allowed to drive your gear to the campsite

There will be no exploring the park after the night hike

For bathrooms, you will need to walk the .25 mile back to the public restrooms in the lower parking lot

Quiet hours will be 10 pm – 6 am

You need to be packed up by 8 am on Saturday, October 17th
