Homeschool Day: Teen Nature Journaling

Children of all ages need nature. Being engrossed in the natural world improves health and reduces stress; it’s also a valuable and meaningful place to learn. Nature journaling is an interdisciplinary activity that engages students in observation, develops critical thinking skills and creativity, and builds confidence.
In this Homeschool Day, students will document their observations of the natural world through 2-3 nature journaling activities. You MUST sign up for your child to participate.
This Homeschool Day is for students ages 13-18. There will be alternative activities for non-participating children, like nature bingo cards and coloring sheets. Please only register participating students.
We will meet at the Visitor Center to sign in and get started with the program. The program starts at 1:30 PM EST.
Blank journals will be available to all participating students, but you are welcome to bring your own journal and art supplies!
*Please note that registration will open on Saturday, August 1st at 12 PM EST.
