Event Details
Join park staff for a day of habitat management at Window Cliffs State Natural Area. Meet in the Window Cliffs parking lot at 9am on Sunday, September 27th. We have a healthy population of shortleaf pine on the backside of our burn unit. We will be working to clear out the understory trees in the area. We will have to walk to the area that we will be working in, which will be about a .5 mile hike. The area we will work at is located on a very steep slope. Please wear/bring closed-toe shoes, water, and snacks. All tools and PPE required will be provided by park staff.

Burgess Falls State Park, encompassing approximately 304 acres, is a captivating destination renowned for its breathtaking waterfalls and scenic beauty. Falling Water River is the lifeblood of Burgess Falls State Park, carving its way through the landscape and creating stunning vistas as it plunges over four waterfalls, including the impressive 103-foot Burgess Falls. Visitors can explore hiking trails, enjoy picnicking, and witness the diverse flora and fauna that thrive within this natural haven. The base of the falls is accessed by boat or kayak from the Cane Hollow Recreation Area.
