Event Details

Join us on Saturday September 23rd at 10:00am at the picnic tables near the Bunkum Cave Loop trailhead for TN Serves and National Public Lands Day.

We will be clearing a section of the Storybook trail and removing invasive species. Equipment will be provided but feel free to bring your own personal protective equipment, pruning shears, or limb loppers. Please find the Essential Eligibility Criteria in the pdf for this event.

Please wear closed toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Don’t forget your water, snacks, and gloves if you have them! Depending on the weather you may also want to bring a hat, bug spray, and sunscreen. 

In the event of inclement weather this program will be cancelled.

On 55 magnificent acres, Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park offers a glimpse into the past with its preserved log cabin, museum, and the scenic Bunkum Cave Trail. Visitors can explore the legacy of a remarkable Tennessean while enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
