Window Cliffs Hike

Event Details

Join SIR Taylor on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, at 9am for a guided hike at Window Cliffs! The total mileage is 5.4 miles, with 18 creek crossings and a significant elevation change. Your feet will get wet, so be prepared! Since it is a timed event, there will not be enough time to stop at each crossing to change shoes. Please wear toe-covered shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Please bring at least 64 oz of water and snacks/lunch.

Burgess Falls State Park, encompassing approximately 304 acres, is a captivating destination renowned for its breathtaking waterfalls and scenic beauty. Falling Water River is the lifeblood of Burgess Falls State Park, carving its way through the landscape and creating stunning vistas as it plunges over four waterfalls, including the impressive 103-foot Burgess Falls. Visitors can explore hiking trails, enjoy picnicking, and witness the diverse flora and fauna that thrive within this natural haven. The base of the falls is accessed by boat or kayak from the Cane Hollow Recreation Area.
