Explore More Ways to Cool Off This Summer in Middle Tennessee
With the temperatures rising, it's no wonder that everyone is itching to get outside. A favorite for both locals and visitors is Henry Horton State Park. The park is home to the most biologically diverse river in North America (on the shore of the scenic Duck River) and is an outdoor recreationist's dream vacation with golf, trap and skeet shooting, fishing, hiking, and more.
A common cool-off activity at Henry Horton State Park is its Olympic-sized swimming pool. While planning the 2024 season, it was discovered that the pool at Henry Horton State Park was experiencing a significant maintenance issue that could not be resolved quickly. To ensure the health and safety of visitors, it was determined not to reopen the pool this season. While this news may cause disappointment, below we're sharing all of our favorite ways to stay cool in the park or close by.
