Event Details

Join Seasonal Ranger Maddie for a demonstration of the Atlatl, a spear throwing device at the Visitors Center. We will learn about this ancient tool then we will all take turns with some target practice using the atlatl. The atlatl can be cumbersome for smaller children. The recommended age for this program is 12 years and older. Adults welcome. We will be outside, so please wear appropriate footwear, sunscreen, and bug spray. There will be a safety brief at the start of the program and, as always, safety will be our first priority.
