Event Details

Join Ranger Gibbs to hike up the Backbone trail. This is the most strenuous hike so please read the EEC attached. The Backbone trail has amazing views of the river below. Fall Foliage at its peak should make every step of this hike a treat.

Prepare for this hike by wearing sturdy closed toed, closed back shoes and dress in layers for the weather. Please bring water with you, trekking poles if you need or want them, and a camera.

Backbone trail is 1.25 miles and we will have to hike to it. The first climb on backbone is about a 45 degree climb. We will be on the ridge first and make our back down to the river. The views we will see will definitely make the hike worth it.
