CANCELED When the Carter family lived at the historic John & Landon Carter Mansion, the property was much larger than we see it today! What was life like for the early Carters in the late 18th century? In this special tour of the Carter Mansion property, we will go beyond the mansion and explore where long gone structures once stood, and discuss how life might have looked for this family as they settled on the Watauga frontier in the 1770s. Enjoy a tour of the grounds and a brief look inside the home as we imagine a life in the wilderness for this significant family of the Watauga settlement.
