Join Seasonal Ranger Sarah to explore aquatic ecosystems!

We will be wading in the creek and seeing what we may find! We will discover different animals and discuss how they impact their environment, as well as learning how to spot signs of a healthy body of water. We will be in the water so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear! Meet at Big Cove Playground.

Frozen Head State Park encompasses over 24,000 acres of rugged wilderness in the Cumberland Mountains. Named for the 3,324-foot peak often shrouded in ice during winter, the park offers a primitive and unplugged experience for outdoor enthusiasts. Hike to the iconic Lookout Tower, explore cascading waterfalls, and discover the remnants of a historic Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp.
