Join Park Staff on a guided hike and introduction to fishing along the scenic Blackburn Fork River. Sturdy hiking shoes are required, and and it's recommended participants bring a backpack with snacks and drinks.
Participants will meet at the visitors center at 7:30 AM [CST]. From there, expect to hike between 3 to 3.5 miles through uneven terrain and differing water levels. This event requires participants to be comfortable navigating through moving water and is not recommended for children under the age of 12.
Be sure to have your TWRA fishing license, a trout stamp is not needed. Participants can expect to catch a variety of fish such as smallmouth bass and bluegill. Fishing poles will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
Cancellation Policy:
Program is weather dependent. In the case of inclement weather participants will be contacted by park staff.

The park's namesake, Cummins Falls, is a breathtaking 75-foot waterfall that plunges into a natural swimming pool. Visitors can hike to scenic overlooks, explore the unique geology of the area, and wade in the refreshing waters of Blackburn Fork State Scenic River.
