Early Morning Hike to the base of the Waterfall

Come Chasing Waterfalls with park staff!!
Participants are invited to join park staff on a strenuous morning hike to the base of Cummins Falls. This scenic 2.5 mile hike will guide participants along The Blackburn Fork River to the base of the waterfall, so plan to get your feet wet! Sturdy shoes you don't mind getting wet are required (NO FLIP FLOPS). Make sure to pack plenty of water and a light snack. The hike does not require a permit, but participants that plan to stay at the base for longer than the program must purchase a permit beforehand.
It's an adventure - expect slippery rocks, river crossings in knee deep water, moderate elevation change, and tremendous beauty!!
Cancellation Policy:
This program requires one participant in order to be held. In the case of inclement weather, park staff will notify participants via phone call or email. In the case of flooding, this program will become a guided hike to the overlook.
