Event Details

In 1986 Ernest Goes to Camp was filmed at Montgomery Bell State Park.

On June 13, 2026, we invite you to come celebrate the genius that is Ernest for the Official Ernest Day Event!

We will have a day of fun activities planned, so come join us! Be sure to bring items to be autographed by actors from the Ernest Franchise! A list of actors will be posted closer to the Event Day.

From 2PM to 6PM we will be having:


* Birds of Prey Programs

* Free temporary tattoos and stickers, while supplies last.

*Coloring zone for the kiddos

 *Turtle Catapulting! (no turtles are harmed at this event!)

*Nature Hikes

*Archery

*Canoeing

*Food trucks and craft vendors

All activities are subject to change. We will release a finalized schedule closer to the event.

Questions and Answer Session with actors from the Ernest Franchise! Stay tuned for updates! (guest speakers subject to change)


At approximately 8:30 p.m. the "Ernest Goes To Camp" movie will be shown outside at the film's location! Bring a blanket or chair and make yourself comfortable and watch the movie under the stars.

The Event is free; however, donations are always accepted! 

Official Ernest Day t-shirts will also be available while supplies last.
