Join Ranger Graham at Roan Mountain State Park to learn about the reptiles and amphibians that call Appalachia home and discover the unique adaptations that help these cold-blooded animals survive.
Participants will explore identification, habitat, behavior, and ecological importance of local snakes, frogs, salamanders, turtles, and more while learning how these species interact with their environments.

Where: Visitor Center
Please bring water and wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor weather conditions. This is an animal ambassador program, we will be getting one of our native snakes out for the program.
