Join us every Thursday at 4:30pm at pavilion no. 2 for a cozy evening of cast iron cooking at Tims Ford State Park! Learn simple, delicious recipes—from hearty meals to sweet campfire cobblers. Perfect for beginners and seasoned cooks alike, this weekly program offers hands-on demonstrations, outdoor cooking tips, and a chance to get to know park staff. Bring your curiosity and your appetite!
This will be a 7-week long series. Participants will have the option to pay for one session at a time or pay for the entire course in full and receive a discounted price. Included in the price of the entire course, individuals will be gifted a handmade, limited edition cookbook of all recipes covered in the series. During each session, guests will be given a demonstration, a chance to eat the food that's made, and be given the recipe used.

October 8th - Dutch oven enchiladas
October 15th - Apple fritters
October 22nd - Shish kebabs
October 29th - Blackberry cobbler and ice cream
November 5th - Dutch oven pizza
November 12th - Oreo cookie skillet
November 19th - dutch oven chicken and dumplings
