  • Located on Tims Ford Reservoir, the 3,546-acre Tims Ford State Park sits in the shadows of the Cumberland Plateau in south-central Tennessee. One of the Bill Dance Signature Lakes, Tims Ford Lake is considered one of the most picturesque in Tennessee and is regarded as one of the top bass fishing and recreational lakes in the Southeast.

    Safety and Accessibility

    • Safety

      Tims Ford State Park is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors. When hiking or biking, it is important to wear appropriate gear, pack a first-aid kit, and pay attention to foot placement. The lake is a drowning risk, and life jackets should always be worn. Please plan your route when hiking and have a map to guide you. A Park Ranger is on call 24/7 for any safety or security concerns.

    • Accessibility

      At Tims Ford State Park we have all-terrain wheelchairs, paved trails, accessible picnic areas and facilities such as our visitor center and aviary. Our overnight accommodations have ADA options, but please remember to request when reserving your stay to ensure availability. Love to fish? We have a pier just for you!

    Bear Trace at Tims Ford

    The Bear Trace at Tims Ford State Park is situated on a peninsula surrounded by picturesque Tims Ford Lake. This visually compelling golf course has been recognized nationally as a “glittering newcomer…an intriguing 6,673-yard layout (Bear tees) with several different looks.” 

    Come try your hand at this Jack Nicklaus Signature Course.

    Spencer Hall

    Spencer Hall is ideal for parties, receptions, banquets, small meetings, and other group gatherings. The building has two meeting rooms – the large meeting room and the small meeting room. Both spaces are accessed from the main entranceway foyer, which also features a lounge area with a large stone fireplace.The large meeting room has an elevated stage at one end allowing for theater-style seating or table-seating.

    Amenities: Access to restrooms, basic audio-video equipment (tvs, speakers and microphones).

    Minimum Rental: Half-day 
    Availability: Year-round 
    Rates: Half-day: $220
    Monday - Thursday: $350
    Friday - Sunday: $350 

    Reservations may be made up to two years in advance.

    Pavilions

    Tims Ford State Park has two Pavilions that may be reserved for your next event or gathering. Depending on the shelter, there may be access to trails, the lake or a ball field. Full-day reservations may be made online or by calling the park. Pavilions may be reserved online up to one year in advance with a paid reservation fee. There is a $5 cancellation fee for picnic shelter or pavilion reservations cancelled 8 days or more in advance of the reserved date. Reservations cancelled 7 days or less in advance of the reserved date forfeit all paid fees.
