Event Details

Join us on the Tennessee History Trail for an action-packed adventure with Ranger and volunteer-led programs about life on the frontier.


Begin your journey by learning about the challenges the people of the frontier may face. Programmers will guide you through skills that would help you survive the harsh conditions of the frontier with the following hands-on programs:

  • Frontier Fabric Arts
  • Food Preservation
  • Frontier Pharmacy
  • Medicinal Plant Hike
  • Long Hunter Fur Trade
  • Black Powder Rifle Demonstration
  • and more!

To sign up, register for your preferred start time. Park at the back boat ramp at the end of Bledsoe Park Rd (see map for details). Check in will be at the trail head where you will start your Journey to Tennessee!

Bledsoe Creek State Park, encompassing 169 acres, is a haven for outdoor recreation nestled on the shores of Old Hickory Lake. Visitors can explore a protected wetland from the Observation Boardwalk, Birdsong Trail and Shoreline Trail. The park offers hiking trails with scenic vistas, camping with lake views, and opportunities for fishing and boating, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
