Have you ever wondered about The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and their significant contributions to our natural areas? Discover the fascinating story of Company 1475, which once called our very own park home. Examine the impactful work these young men undertook and the historical events that brought them to the Southern Cumberlands.


Meet Ranger Ben at The Grundy Forest Natural Area located at 131 Fiery Gizzard Rd, Tracy City, TN 37387 at 9:00am CDT.

We will hike on a natural surface for 1.5 miles.

Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate attire.

Fiery Gizzard State Park is located in two different Tennessee counties: Grundy and Marion. The park is composed of approximately 7,811 acres and boasts some of the best hiking and backcountry camping in the region. There are lots of areas to explore, including Fiery Gizzard, Denny Cove, and the Historical Grundy Lakes.
