Event Details

Have you ever wanted to try rock climbing? Join Ranger Josh for an introduction to the exciting sport of outdoor climbing at Foster Falls. Participants will learn basic climbing equipment, safety procedures, climbing commands, knot tying, and beginner climbing techniques. After a safety briefing and gear orientation, everyone will have the opportunity to climb beginner-friendly routes under ranger supervision.

This program is designed for first-time climbers and beginners with little or no experience. All climbing gear will be provided. Climbing shoes are limited but we have sizes ranging from 5-11. Helmets and harnesses are provided as needed.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activity and bring water and a snack for the program.

Climbing activities are weather dependent and may be canceled in the event of rain, lightning, or unsafe climbing conditions.
