Join SIR Pacen for an immersive journey through the long and remarkable history of one of the most influential native plants on Earth.

Discover how this plant helped support entire lifeways, from food and medicine to ceremony, technology, and ecological engineering. From the late Pleistocene, when mammoths, mastodons, and early peoples first shared its landscape, through its deep significance to Indigenous communities for thousands of years, and into the ways it continues to shape modern cultures and public policy today.
