Art is a powerful tool for connecting us to the past. In this Homeschool Day, students will learn about traditional Cherokee art and the Moravian missionaries’ impact on traditional Cherokee culture, then make cornhusk dolls and watercolor holiday cards.
This Homeschool Day is for students ages 13-18. There will be alternative activities for non-participating children, like nature bingo cards and coloring sheets.
We will meet at the Visitor Center to sign in and get started with the program. The program starts at 1:30 PM EST.
*Please note that registration will open on Saturday, August 1st at 12 PM EST.
