Junior Ranger Camp 2026 (SOLD OUT)

Event Details

Junior Rangers learn a wide variety of topics, like flora and fauna, history, wilderness preparedness, and others, while having fun in the great outdoors!

Junior Rangers will get to go hiking, try new skills, learn about wildlife, see historical demonstrations, make new friends, get out on the water, and so much more!

Junior Ranger Camp at Norris Dam is designed for kids ages 8-12. The day camp takes place from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with an evening program and graduation on Thursday. Drop off and pick up locations change daily, so make sure to pay attention to the registration packet!

Daily lunches are not provided, however dinner on Thursday night is provided by the Friends of Norris Dam for Junior Rangers and their families.

Registration packet will be emailed directly to you before the event, so be sure to include a valid email address. Cost is $55 per child.

Escape to Norris Dam State Park, a sprawling 4,018-acre haven nestled between the Cumberland and Appalachian Ranges. The park offers a blend of historical significance and natural beauty. Visitors can explore the legacy of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), hike scenic trails, and enjoy the pristine waters along the renowned Norris Lake.
