Event Details

This is an ongoing opportunity for individual regular volunteers or members of Friends of Long Hunter SP.  This opportunity will be used to record general park maintenance activities including but not limited to the following examples:

  • Assist Park Ranger or Maintenance staff with building project, mowing or trimming, chainsaw work, simple repairs, etc. throughout the park
  • Assist in cleaning of trash throughout the park.
  • Be prepared to work off-trail by wearing proper footwear.   May be working over uneven ground and/or along shorelines and water, and/or low visibility areas
  • Protective clothing is required. Long sleeves/pants and gloves are recommended.  Eye and/or ear protection are required and can be provided upon request during scheduling. Please use bug spray and sunscreen in season

This opportunity is on-going and we ask that you submit your volunteer hours.
