National Trails Day Hike

Join a ranger on a guided hike on the paved Byrd Lake paved trail for the annual National Trails Day Hike.
This program is designed for adults and children who are eager to deepen their knowledge of nature and work on their hiking skills.
Please meet in the restaurant parking lot by 10:00am. The trail is 1 mile and is ADA accessible. Leashed pets are welcome.
In order to make the most of this experience, hikers are encouraged to wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes, clothing appropriate for the outdoors and weather, and a water bottle. Other items for consideration include snacks, hiking sticks, cameras, bug spray, and sunscreen.
In the event of inclement weather this program will be rescheduled. Those registered will be notified by email.
