Join Ranger Fox at Brewer Cabin where we will be making natural cordage out of yucca plant! Learn how plant fibers were traditionally used by early settlers to create rope, string, fishing line, nets, and other everyday tools. Participants will learn how to identify yucca, proper harvesting and preparation, and practice making their own cord using traditional twisting methods! This family friendly program offers a fun way to connect history while gaining a practical outdoor skill!
