Event Details

This program is part of a series of advanced watercolor programs. Every month we have a different topic. These either occur on the last Friday or Saturday of each month, with few exceptions. Paints used are Cotman Winsor & Newton Sketchers Set and cotton 140lb cold press cotton paper.

Art is a way of exploring the native creatures and observing them in greater detail than we would otherwise notice in natural. We will be taking a close look at our native ruby-throated hummingbirds and some of the native wildflowers they feed on. You are welcome to bring your own reference photograph to paint from.

The ranger will go through some of the basic watercolor techniques. Remember, it is the process that is most important. Enjoy your time, learn something new while you are painting, and relax with other people who enjoy exploring watercolor.
