Join Park Ranger James Horne for a family friendly hike on the Rhododendron Trail. This is a 3 mile easy in-and-back gravel trail along the Ocoee River. We will meet at the trailhead across the bridge from main parking area of the Olympic section of the Ocoee on Hwy 64. Please remember to bring sturdy shoes, sunscreen, plenty of water, and snacks! Suitable for all ages, minors must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that there is a parking fee of $3 per vehicle at the Ocoee Whitewater Center.

1-888-867-2757Ocoee River State Park is home to the internationally recognized whitewater sites along the "Mighty Ocoee" River. Tennessee State Parks began managing the river in 1984, along with the Hiwassee Scenic River, creating the Hiwassee/Ocoee River State Park. In 2025, the park split into the Hiwassee Scenic River State Park and the Ocoee River State Park to provide more dedicated resources to each area.
