Event Details

Join Seasonal Ranger Devin in the Nature Center to meet our park snake Salazar. Salazar is an eastern gray rat snake (central ratsnake) that is found throughout our park. Snakes are fantastic creatures that have a critical role in the park ecosystem and help control pest populations. This program is designed to teach visitors about what makes the eastern gray rat snake special, and to inform everyone about how critical snakes are despite many people being afraid of them. This program is 30 minutes long and is great for all ages.
