Due to erosion issues, One Way Road, past the campground at Meeman-Shelby, is closed. Please don't try to access these areas for your safety.

    Park Venues

      Meeman-Shelby Recreation Lodge

      Average rates: $325–$425
      Capacity: 150 guests

      The Recreation Lodge has three meeting rooms inside its 3,000 square foot interior. The rental of this facility includes a large field next to the building that is perfect for an outdoor wedding or family reunion games.  

      Meeman-Shelby Visitor Center Meeting Room

      Average rates: $30–$60
      Capacity: 20 guests

      There is a 1,250 square foot meeting room available within the Visitor Center that comes with tables and chairs to seat 50.  

      Meeman-Shelby U.A. Moore Recreation Field

      Average rates: $159
      Capacity: 100 guests

      Large 5-acre open area with parking.  

      Meeman-Shelby Open Space

      Average rates: $80
      Capacity: 20 guests

      1-acre open field on Poplar Tree Lake.

    Meeman-Shelby Forest Pavilions

    Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park has a total of six picnic pavilions that may be reserved for your next event or gathering. Rates subject to change. Taxes and fees are not included. 

    Capacity: 30 - 100 
    Amenities: picnic tables, grill, access to restrooms 
    Rates: $69 - $106 

    Full-day shelter reservations may be made online or by calling the park. 

    Picnic shelters or pavilions may be reserved online up to one year in advance with a paid reservation fee.  

    There is a $5 cancellation fee for picnic shelter or pavilion reservations cancelled eight days or more in advance of the reserved date. Reservations cancelled seven days or less in advance of the reserved date forfeit all paid fees. 

    For Schools

    Engage your students in a hands-on learning experience with Ranger-led or teacher-led programs at Tennessee State Parks.

  • EV Charging Stations

    Installed two EV charging stations at the Nature Center. 

     

  • Reduce Erosion

    Installed tent pads in the campsites. Tent pads are man-made surfaces that protect the ground from damage caused by repeatedly setting up a tent in the same spot.
