Event Details

Spirit of America Youth Boating Camp offers girls and boys (ages 13-15) the opportunity to expand their knowledge and comfort level on an array of watercrafts, including: Jon boats with 9.9 hp Honda outboards, canoes, kayaks and sailboats!

This 4-day camp teaches participants boating safety while achieving their boater's safety course certification. They will also learn drowning safety/prevention, boat operation, equipment, paddle technique, and even how to sail!

Classes will run from 9:00am to 3:00pm on July 14th-July 17th. We are so grateful to announce that this year, the usual $85 fee has been covered by a generous donor (you know who you are, and we thank you immensely!).

Due to this fortunate circumstance, only a $10.00 boating education permit (TWRA Type 600) needs to be purchased prior to camp starting. Most places that sell hunting/fishing licenses can accommodate, but feel free to reach out to us if you have any issues with accomplishing this. Parent orientation will be held on July 13th.

Applications required and are available via the registration link on this post. Orientation will be at the Harrison Bay Recreation Hall at 1:00 on July 13th
