TN Serves & National Public Lands Day: Fiery Gizzard

Event Details

Join First Lady Maria Lee and the Tennessee Serves team in serving Fiery Gizzard State Park! 

Give back to our beautiful park alongside fellow volunteers to make some much needed improvements to the park's trail features. After a fulfilling morning of volunteering, a box lunch will be provided courtesy of the Friends of the Parks. Extra water and hydration beverages will also be available onsite. 

Please park in the Grundy Forest Parking lot, Fiery Gizzard North. (131 Fiery Gizzard Road, Tracy City, TN 37387) Groups are encouraged to sign up as a Team. Volunteers will be split up and assigned various tasks along the trails. Be prepared to hike and carry materials on uneven and steep terrain.

Fiery Gizzard State Park is located in two different Tennessee counties: Grundy and Marion. The park is composed of approximately 7,811 acres and boasts some of the best hiking and backcountry camping in the region. There are lots of areas to explore, including Fiery Gizzard, Denny Cove, and the Historical Grundy Lakes.
