YOU can make a difference for the future of the trail system here at YOUR State Park!Help us build a BRAND NEW hiking trail at Warriors’ Path. We are planning a trail extension for the Woodland Ridge Trail, and we need volunteers to help make this new trail a reality. The trail has been laid out but we need people to help dig and clear trail. Our first volunteer day will be on Saturday the third of October.

We will meet at 9 AM at the entrance to the Woodland Ridge Trailhead - it’s the horseshoe shaped parking area where the old horse stables used to be. (Be sure to let us know if you need detailed directions). We will have a brief planning meeting, then hike on up to the worksite. Please make sure you are there before 9 AM. We plan on being back to the parking area by 1 PM.

Be sure to wear close-toed shoes that fit snugly on your feet, come dressed for the weather, and bring at least two water bottles. We also recommend that you bring work gloves as well as eye protection of some kind (sunglasses will work for what we are doing). We’ll supply the tools and training, you’ll supply the volunteer labor!

This will be a rain-or shine workday, but we will cancel if conditions become unsafe due to heavy rain, thunder or other dangerous weather event.
