Did you know that not every plant and animal found in the park belongs here? Many have been introduced from distant places like England and Japan, sometimes on purpose, but sometimes accidentally! Join Clay at the amphitheater to learn about these non-native species, how they made their way to Tennessee, the damage they cause to the ecosystem, and what you can do to prevent their spread.
After a short discussion we’ll hike about half a mile down the paved bike trail, so please wear appropriate footwear and bring a bottle of water. Then, we'll incorporate the species we find into wreaths you can take home with you!
