Event Details

Plastic pollution is a big problem. On America Recycles Day, let’s rethink waste by turning "trash" into useful creations! Join us as we investigate the environmental impacts of everyday plastic use, learn how to construct ecobricks as a form of reuse, and discover practical applications for them. The program encourages critical thinking as we explore ways to reduce plastic waste. After our discussion, each participant will be able to start their own ecobrick to later finish at home.

This program is recommended for guests of all ages who would like to learn more about ways to reuse plastic materials that cannot be recycled using conventional methods.

All materials will be provided for this program, however feel free to bring a clean empty Gatorade or soda bottle for your ecobrick if you like!

For more information on how to prepare, please see our attached essential eligibility criteria.

In the event of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
