Event Details

Join Seasonal Interpretive Ranger Drew and butterfly expert Gary Gilpatrick for a guided 2-mile walk as we search for and identify a variety of butterfly species. Along the way, you'll learn about butterfly life cycles, their importance as pollinators, and the habitats that help them thrive. Whether you're an experienced nature enthusiast or simply curious about the colorful butterflies that call the park home, this program is a great opportunity to explore and learn. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Be sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat, as much of the hike will be in open fields with little shade
