Color Blindness Awareness Month Park Tour

Join the Park Rangers at 1:00p.m. at the museum to tour through the park. We will be looking at everything the park has to offer, as well as a stop at the overlook. While at the overlook we will be discussing our color-blind viewers, as well as getting a chance to use them on migratory birds. There is a chance as well as being able to start seeing the early color changes in the foliage. More than 350 million people worldwide are color blind, including 1 in 12 men (8%) and 1 in 200 women (0.5%). Despite its prevalence, color blindness remains widely misunderstood and is often overlooked in education, design, communication, recreation, and everyday life. Through this campaign, we aim to increase understanding, encourage accessibility, and promote more inclusive experiences for color blind individuals.
