Meet the Ranger at the end of Powerhouse Road at 10:00am and prepare for a moderately strenuous but beautiful hike on the Downstream trail. This trail features a lovely flowstone waterfall and scenic views of the historic dam, the iconic Twin Falls waterfall, and the Caney Fork River. Along the way, you will manage a couple creek crossings, appreciate the spring bloom, and climb stairs overlooking the entirety of the Blue Hole. Be prepared for a fun 1.6-mile round trip adventure! The Downstream Trail is one of our most scenic trails!
This hike is free, but we are accepting donations to support the park. Please arrive 10 minutes early, if possible. There are no restroom facilities in this area of the park, so it is recommended that you take care of those needs before attending the hike. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The trail tread path has large rocks, roots, and ascends the equivalent of 7 flights of stairs.
In the event of inclement weather, the hike will be cancelled, and all attendees will be notified by text message or email, so be sure to provide a good contact when signing up.
