DIY Cloud Viewers

Meet at the Hiwassee Scenic River Main Office

Do you ever look up at the sky and wonder what clouds you are looking at?

Come join Seasonal Interpretive Ranger Andy for a fun project to help you learn the various cloud types in our sky! We will be making DIY cloud viewers with cloud identification cheat sheets, making cloud identification fun and easy! Afterwards, we will be testing our new creations and identifying the clouds out and about at the time. All ages are welcome.

Hiwassee Scenic River State Park is a natural wonder, offering visitors an abundance of recreational opportunities. In 1968, the 23-mile section of the Hiwassee Scenic River was designated as the first managed river as part of the Tennessee State Scenic River Program. The river is considered a Class III partially developed river, making it a more intermediate paddling and rafting opportunity. The park is known for its excellent opportunities for rafting, canoeing, kayaking, birding, fishing, and camping, making it the park where visitors return to time and time again.
