Rapid River Float! 

Meet at the park Main Office located at 404 Spring Creek Rd, Delano, TN, 37325 

Join SIR Andy for an afternoon float down the Hiwassee River! This excursion will begin at the main office where we will go over the logistics of the program. We will then travel to the Towee Put-In, located up the river, then take out in Reliance. 

EQUIPMENT WILL NOT BE PROVIDED. Please bring your own kayak, canoe, or raft; as well as personal floatation device, paddle, water, sunscreen, and dry pack. 

HELMETS ARE NOT REQUIRED ON THE HIWASSEE RIVER BUT ARE STRONGLY SUGGESTED. 

*$3 Parking fee at the put-in*

Hiwassee Scenic River State Park is a natural wonder, offering visitors an abundance of recreational opportunities. In 1968, the 23-mile section of the Hiwassee Scenic River was designated as the first managed river as part of the Tennessee State Scenic River Program. The river is considered a Class III partially developed river, making it a more intermediate paddling and rafting opportunity. The park is known for its excellent opportunities for rafting, canoeing, kayaking, birding, fishing, and camping, making it the park where visitors return to time and time again.
