Meet seasonal ranger Sage at the Visitor Center to traverse our Wildcat trail on the hunt for some of Tennessee’s unique fossils while learning about Tennessee’s geological history
This Program is recommended for anyone of any age interested in learning about the fossils and geology of pre-historic Tennessee at Montgomery Bell State Park.
This program will last about an hour and involve a short hike (about half a mile) along the Wildcat trail. We will make frequent stops to discuss what we find along the trail.
Be sure to bring closed-toe shoes and water. This is a short hike across both forested and rocky terrain. Optional: Water shoes for more avid fossil-finders wanting to search the creek.
In case of inclement weather or other emergencies the program may be cancelled. You will receive a message to the email or number you provide at registration
