Some Trails Closed
Portions of the Montgomery Bell and Creech Hollow Trails will be closed for visitor safety beginning 3/2/26 due to a timber salvage project as a result of the November storms that brought down thousands of trees. We anticipate reopening the closed portions in May 2026.

Pavilions
Montgomery Bell State Park has four picnic shelters/pavilions that may be reserved for your next event or gathering. Rates are subject to change without notice.
Capacity: 42 - 70
Amenities: picnic tables, grill, access to restrooms
Nearby: Depending upon the shelter, access to a creek, access to trails, or a beautiful view of the lake.
Rates: $50 - $309
Pavilions are winterized annually and do not have water access from 11/1-4/15. Weather permitting, water access may be restored prior to 4/15.
Full-day shelter reservations may be made online or by calling the park.
Picnic shelters or pavilions may be reserved online up to one year in advance with a paid reservation fee.
There is a $5 cancellation fee for picnic shelter or pavilion reservations cancelled eight days or more in advance of the reserved date. Reservations cancelled seven days or less in advance of the reserved date forfeit all paid fees.

Collaborate with Gardening Partners of Dickson County for plants and seeds.
Reduce Erosion
Minimize erosion in campgrounds with man-made tent pads.
Eco-Friendly Practices
Maintain golf course Audubon and Groundwater Guardian certification. Offer centralized trash and recycling dumpsters in campgrounds.
Protect Habitats
Utilize planting of butterfly plants, native vegetation and controlled burns to help nurture the ecosystem and habitats.
Hospitality Certified
Ensure the lodge, conference center, restaurant and lounge are all TN Green Hospitality Certified.
EV Charging Stations
Installed EV charging stations at the Lodge.
Energy Efficiency
Utilize geothermal heating and cooling in the Energy Star certified cabins.
