Event Details

Come join SIR Lexie for a guided tour of the reconstructed birthplace cabin and kitchen garden. Cordell Hull was born on this property in 1871 and lived here for the first four years of his life with his family. His life and legacy began here.

This program is recommended for anyone interested in the early life of Cordell Hull.

During this 30 minute tour, we will discuss the architecture of the cabin and what the daily life of a sharecropper or homesteader might have looked like in this area in the late 1800’s. We will meet in the museum to start the tour and make our way outside to the birthplace cabin.

To prepare for this program, we recommend dressing comfortably for the weather. For more information, please see the attached Essential Eligibility Criteria.

In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled.
