Join Ranger Monique for a hands-on workshop and learn how to make lye soap from scratch! Discover a centuries-old soap-making tradition with a modern twist as you create your own batch of handmade soap featuring the colors and fragrances of the holidays.

At the end of the class, you’ll take home your own soap mold filled with approximately two pounds of the soap you made yourself!

Important Safety Information: This class involves working with lye and other caustic materials. All participants must wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. Due to the materials used, participants must be at least 16 years old. Participants under 18 must have adult supervision.

The cost is $40 per person, and the class is limited to five participants to provide a small-group, hands-on experience. All materials will be provided by the park.

Please review the Essential Eligibility Criteria below for additional information on how to prepare for the program. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be canceled.
