Take an art lesson from nature and explore how artist draw inspiration from the world around them. Some of the topics that will be discussed are poetry, song, and paintings about nature. Students will get to make their own artwork to take home.
It will begin at 2 PM at shelter 2 on the day use side of the park. This program will end at 4 PM. There will be multiple topics and activities during this time period. It is $5 per homeschooler. Registration is REQUIRED. Homeschoolers need to have an adult with them throughout this program. Program content will be targeted towards 1st-5th grade standards, but all students are welcome!
Make sure they dress appropriately for the weather as we will be outside, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water and snacks as needed. there will be several small breaks for kids to go to the bathroom and give their brains a break.
