Kayak Float

Join seasonal ranger Kat on a morning kayak float of the Caney Fork River. We will meet at the Sandbar Beach boat ramp at the end of Beach Road. We will begin at the Sandbar Boat Ramp and paddle downstream. Along the way, we expect to see a variety of wildlife including aquatic mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. We will also get the chance to see waterfalls firsthand at the blue hole.
Make sure to bring a towel and a change of clothes, as it is likely that we will be getting wet. Be sure to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated and snacks if you would like.
All kayaks, paddles, and life jackets will be provided by the park. This kayak float will last approximately 2 hours. Please arrive 15 minutes early so that we can hand out gear, provide you with a safety briefing, and take care of any restroom needs. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be canceled, and you will be contacted by the park (so be sure to leave us with a good way to contact you!).
