Meet Seasonal Ranger Sarah for a hike up to Debord Falls!
Learn about the history of the area as well as the importance of waterfalls and how they impact health of their ecosystems, as well as how they benefit us. The trail head is closed so there will be about a half mile walk up the road to the trail head, then another half mile to the falls on Panther Branch trail, then back down to the parking area making the trip about 2 miles in total with moderate terrain. Be sure to bring bug spray, plenty of water, and sturdy shoes! Meet at Shelter A area. Free.

Frozen Head State Park encompasses over 24,000 acres of rugged wilderness in the Cumberland Mountains. Named for the 3,324-foot peak often shrouded in ice during winter, the park offers a primitive and unplugged experience for outdoor enthusiasts. Hike to the iconic Lookout Tower, explore cascading waterfalls, and discover the remnants of a historic Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp.
