Event Details

Join Seasonal Interpretive Rangers Abby and Kaelin on a lantern guided hike around Byrd Lake trail!

This hike at night will let you experience the woods in a completely different way, using your ears and senses to spot movement, glowing eyes, and the sounds of nocturnal animals. Guided by moonlight and lanterns, we will be moving quietly along the trails to observe wildlife activity that only happens after dark.

We will meet at the Restaurant Parking Lot, cross the dam, and walk the paved 0.5-mile Byrd Lake ADA trail around the lake. Be sure wear sturdy walking shoes, bring a flashlight and bug spray!

In the event of inclement weather this program will be cancelled. Those registered will be notified by email.
